Our Dissolving Solution is a triple-action buffer developed to gently and efficiently dissolve the silk fibroin–gelatin–alginate bioink matrix of SilkInk. It contains a unique combination of sodium citrate, alginate lyase, and collagenase, designed to break both ionic and enzymatic bonds without compromising cell viability or integrity.It is tailored to match the rheological and biochemical properties of the silk bioink, enabling fast, reproducible cell recovery and further cell analysis or imaging.
Triple-Enzyme Formulation
Combines sodium citrate for chelating calcium (disrupting alginate crosslinks), alginate lyase for alginate backbone cleavage, and collagenase to digest gelatinous ECM components.
Preserves Cell Viability
Gentle formulation minimizes shear and enzymatic stress, with >90% cell viability observed post-dissolution over 7 days (Di Buduo et al. 2024)
